Hospital defense often requires a strategy for educating the juror regarding the technical aspects of the case. The juror must be provided a vehicle and a process for understanding the case and allow them to develop a perception (make up their own personal story) that is logical and reasonable. This increases the likelihood the juror set aside personal bias, emotion and sympathy for the client when deciding the case. This is the Jurinex specialty. At trial, a Jurinex consultant works onsite with the trial team. The consultant works 24 – 7 to support the defense counsel in any way needed. A fully equipped war room is provided. Full graphics and animation capability are available to develop or modify exhibits in response to opposing arguments. Courtroom feedback and counseling is provided. Options such as a shadow jury are available to allow counsel to test or evaluate arguments. Post trial juror interviews and analysis are valuable tools to understand juror performance or to assist in a possible appeal.
Success in a hospital defense case may be particularly important to the upstream insurance or corporate client.
